Silvertrees wins Innovation Award

The Online Expo Innovation

Central Coast Chair of the HCCIF, Frank Sammut, presented the Central Coast Award to Silvertrees Web Development for its innovative internet based solutions for business. Derek Taylor, Industry and Investment NSW, was also recognised for his role in working with Silvertrees to develop an online expo site to coincide with the launch of the Hunter Central Coast Innovation Festival in 2010.

The technology and easy to use system lets organisers and exhibitors manage the expo, interact and transact in actual real time with visitors.  There are considerable savings in money and time compared with physical expos, plus the exposure is substantially greater.  Visitors using slow or old PCs were not disadvantaged and constantly evolving technology allowing for more in-depth experiences for visitors and exhibitors.

Our approach with the online expo system was based on our continuing work on the web and takes advantage of latest technical changes as well as recognizing the fundamental change in the way a potential audience encounters and interacts with new ideas.
